Blend Web (Rebrand)

The recent redesign of the Blend website—and the brand as a whole—came with high stakes: inspire trust, clearly communicate value, and efficiently convert users.

My role:
As the lead designer on the project, I collaborated closely with PMMs, digital marketers, agency copywriters, and executive leadership to develop compelling narratives that effectively conveyed the brand story while creating opportunities to convert visitors into leads. Our design decisions were grounded in the company’s brand pillars and informed by an analysis of historical web data to identify what resonated most with our target audiences. Alongside usability, a key challenge was balancing storytelling with product visibility. We needed to show the value and capabilities of Blend’s platform without overwhelming users or turning the site into a sales pitch. Through thoughtful visuals, interactions, and content strategy and copy hand from an external agency, we struck a balance that supported both inspiration and information.

Showing product in brand and all things digital:
For several web touch points, we decided to abstract our product interfaces. It helped translate intricate product capabilities into visuals and narratives that are intuitive and engaging. The end goal was to communicate functionality, value, and concepts without overwhelming the user with unnecessary detail.
